What it is
Space Merchant Realms is set in a declining galactic federation where eight races have split into independent governments and pirates prey on the trade lanes. You captain a ship through numbered sectors, trading at ports, hunting traders or raiding as part of a player alliance; the homepage's live news feed lists ship destructions by alliance members and NPCs. The game engine is open source under the AGPL and was still being committed to the day before this check.
