What it is
Aardwolf is a text MUD set in the world of Andolor that has been online since 1996 and is still adding areas. You level a character through one of 28 classes, run quests and campaigns, solve puzzles and map hundreds of zones either solo or in a group, and can join a clan or opt into PvP. It plays in real time through a single-window web client at play.aardwolf.com or any MUD client on port 23 or 4000, and is financed by donations rather than purchases; more than two hundred players were connected when checked.
