What it is

OpenDominion is a free, open-source recreation of Dominion, the Kamikaze Games strategy game that ran from 2000 to 2012. Players rule a dominion in a medieval fantasy world, grouped into realms of allies, and the game ticks forward every hour in real time as you grow your economy, train armies, cast spells and attack rivals; standard rounds run about 47 days, with shorter experimental rounds between them. Balance is steered by a committee of player volunteers, the code lives on GitHub, and a wiki and Discord support the community.
