What it is

Thronewake is a browser strategy game in the classic village-building mould: grow a lone settlement into a civilisation, choose one of three factions, scout and march armies across a shared map, and read a report of every clash. Villages bind into alliance 'banners' that coordinate wars through world, alliance and direct chat, and rankings track population, loot, attack and defence. Worlds are numbered 'Awakenings' running at 3x speed with protected hours each day; the fourth had been open for 64 days when checked and offered guest access. Paid gold exists, but the Dutch sole-trader developer pledges it never buys troops, resources or combat strength. The interface comes in eight languages.
