What it is
Bushtarion is a free, ad-free multiplayer war strategy game that has run since 2001. You climb one of six technology routes to field more than 100 unit types - the roster runs from petrol bombers and terrorists to robotic tyrannosaurs and dragons - and attack, defend or bounty-hunt other players, solo or inside alliances whose politics shape each round. Play happens in numbered rounds (forum posts reference rounds 92 and 98 in 2023-2024), and the community holds real-world meetups once or twice a year. The newest forum post found was from March 2026, so check that a round is running before you commit.
