What it is
High Descent casts you as a 12th-century noble commanding a band of mercenaries. You hire melee, ranged and mounted fighters, equip them at the blacksmith, train them, read spy reports and send them into battle against other nobles to earn nobility points, while alliances share bonuses and side games such as an archery range and gladiator pit fill the gaps. Each server runs in seasons that reset rosters, gold and rank while trophies and a museum of champions persist. Online since May 2001, it is free with an optional patron tier.
