What it is
Corsarion is a free browser strategy game in which you grow a beach camp into a pirate harbour, choosing Empire, Guild or Order as your faction. Buildings have ten levels each, research and troop training run in real time while you are away, a hero follows daily tavern rumours to wrecks and caves, and alliances get their own forum, chat and shared anchorage for joint raids. Several worlds run at different speeds from one account, each round ending in a race to raise the Treasure of the Black Fleet. Ducats shorten waiting times but the site stresses that everything can be earned by playing.
