What it is
Visual Utopia is a browser strategy war game whose copyright notice stretches back to 1999. Each ruler picks a race, founds colonies on a shared map, builds farms, mines and towers, researches sciences, casts spells and marches armies against rival kingdoms, negotiating peace or war by message. Eras last about two months before the world resets, and the forum's politics board is where alliances and grudges play out. It is free, with donations unlocking convenience features; about fifty players were online when checked.
