What it is
Aether Kingdoms is a free real-time browser strategy game in the classic village-building mould, drawn in pixel art. You start with one village, grow resource production, buildings and research, train faction-specific melee, ranged, cavalry and siege units, and expand by settling or conquering new villages on a shared map. Players band into empires that coordinate defence, take map objectives and landmarks, and compete until one winning empire emerges at the end of a four-to-six-month server. Events and tasks pay Aether, an in-game bonus currency that cannot be bought.
